1947 Bought by Boston Deep Sea Fishing Co. Ltd Fleetwood who Re-named Fotherby and Registered FD 262
08/02/1951 Sold to the Ezra Fishing Company of Haifa & Tel Aviv 
A skeleton crew of seven men, deckhands and firemen arrived in Grimsby from Palestine to take the Fotherby to her new owners 
To be renamed Miriam and used mainly for fishing for bream off the coasts of Morocco and Greece
The vessel was the first steam trawler to be bought by the company and also the largest to be bought for fishing in the East
1953 The vessel was sold to new owners in Poland who gave her the new name of Pollux

The trawler was also renamed Aston Villa, the third Consolidated vessel to bear the name
1965 Sold to Arie Rijsdijk, Holland for scrapping

03/05/1940 Operating off the Norwegian coast the Aston Villa came under fire from enemy aircraft and suffered heavy damage 
Such was the extent of the damage that it was deemed inadvisable to attempt a North Sea crossing so the trawler was sunk by fire from our own forces

1914 based at Portsmouth as an M/S Training Ship for Fishery Reserve Crews
Her Chief Gunner was Albert Frankland She was headed inshore at 2.00 am in a strong easterly gale with very heavy seas and was driven onto the beach near the War Signal Station at the Northern end of the breakwater, Lowestoft. The crew were taken off by lifeboat and she was abandoned as a wreck, the remains were sold 04/1915
