On 13/05/1936 the vessel foundered on the rocks on the Kil Holm on the north side of the island of Eglishay At the time she was sailing through dense fog The steamer Earl Sigurd took off most of the crew before attempting to tow the trawler off the rocks At high tide the Earl Sigurd managed to pull the trawler off but then she turned over and sank the Stromness lifeboat taking off the three remaining members of the crew
